I just love leftovers,
Just a day or two old.
Seem to taste great,
But, hot, not cold.
Like Pizza, heat it up.
Or, the cheese is like lead.
Make the crust crispy again,
That chewy kind of bread.
Pasta and meatballs,
Always make too many.
They re-heat pretty well,
Just enough for me is plenty.
And then at Holiday times,
Always cooking way too much.
A day or two to finish,
Fixings, desserts and such.
But, what is really easy,
Leftovers on your plate.
Out of the frig and heated up,
So convenient when running late.

Absolutely and in our house there is no such thing as waste food - my wife who is from the far east can turn anything into a nutritious and tasty meal.
It is the best thing to do! You are a lucky man Michael! Thanks.
ThanksgIvings turrkey , cold from the fridge , makes a good day ! With sweet pickles if you please . Or last night's pizza , still in the box has made up many a breakfast or when out fishing I put plenty in my blue lunch box . Reheated spaghetti with more parmesean cheese , steaming hot , with garlic toast , please make it three .
Sounds tasty swingline! Thanks 🙂
Ooh yes, nice! Check food not gone off though. Doh! I had rather an insulting 'leaving-do'. A 'party for one' (me) of roast beef sandwiches. Really tough and horrid. Yuk! I might as well have been some dog, eating scraps!
But that would be insulting to doggies, such as the one in your pic! awww.
Thanks orchidee!
Iam the one who never like to make any leftovers......I liked your poem
Thanks Rajkumar!
My Sophie is the twin to the dog in the photo and loves leftovers. Well done. My wife liked the photo and poem also.
Lucky dog! Thanks Augustus. My greyhound loved them as well... especially spagetti 🙂 Glad you both like the picture and poem. Cutie pie pup!
Really like this one WBL
I love leftovers, I am
The master of bubble
And squeak. You are
So right... they taste
So much better...
Thanks P.H. They do seem to taste better the second time around. Having some tonight! 🙂
Good write. In our house we are a great believer in not throwing any food away so the leftovers can create some wonderful dishes.
Yes. Saving money and time, as well. Thanks Goldfinch!
