Faith Flowings

Fits tune: Woodlands

('Tell out my soul')

********

O see the Lamb, on Him all my sins laid

For He has suffered and for me price paid

That I be free, unburdened from sin, fear

And truly sense His loving presence near

Comforts He brings, relief from guilt and shame

To all who trust Him, call upon His name

His Spirit given, our old creation done

Born to new life through Him the holy one

Not stain nor spot need hinder nor defile

Forgiveness here, we stay not condemned, vile

But appointed to eternal life we

His graces, mercies, we do know, them see

O wondrous hope of life eternally

Only through Jesus can it ever be

He welcomes all, come to Him, on Him call

You shall be saved through Him, you shall not fall

No accusation of Satan can stand

For we are blest, and in a pleasant land

Christ's blood has power, He died there in my place

He brings redemption unto every race

Let heart be free, mind set to on Christ think

He only is the way to God, the link

Then souls arise, for grace has come to you

Christ ever forms in you His image new

Where dark, downcast, shall not for ever last

For you all your burdens on Him may cast

Then light's-day dawns, of Him your risen King

Well-springs flow out, and praises to Him sing

  • Comment from author about the poem: A hymn-poem in 10 1010 10 metre. I saw a picture of a lamb against a dark background, trussed up ready for slaughter. It seemed claustrophobic, and reminded me of Jesus' lonely suffering for all of us as the Lamb of God. Yet 'nice' meek-and-mild' pictures of lambs are lovely too. A flowing tune too, I think!

Jesus died to this world to rise victorious over death .Likewise we should die to this world and rise a Christian and serve Jesus as he served us so well . And we too will be victorious over death .

Thanks M. I can't write music. Getting bit short of tunes, though can always use tunes more than once.
