HEAT WAVE UK ~ ACROSTIC

BRIAN & ANGELA

BRIGHTON BEACH ~ UK ~ YESTERDAY !

HEAT WAVE ~ In the UK ~ it's very very HOT !

EVERYONE  is sweltering because its 80 plus

ALL the roads are melting

THEY are sticking to the BUS !

WEATHER ~ It's HOT or weather it's COLD

A BRIT will always moan

VERY MUCH  rain goes down the drain ~ so we

EMIGRATE (to Canada) and never stay at HOME

UNDERTAKERS ~ Do a a roaring trade ~ Brits just

KEEL OVER ~ when it's 80 in the shade !

Thanks for visiting ~ comments welcome ~ BRIAN

Remember in the UK any temperature below ZERO

(32F) is considered sub~Arctic and anything above

30 C (85 F) is considered "Hotter than Hell"  we would

prefer it to be about 16 C (Global Average  60 F) all the

year round !  BRIAN

  • Fay Slimm.

ha ha - how I agree with your final comments after this clever acrostic Brian - - mighty hot here in Cornwall too at the moment considering the sea usually comes to our aid with cool breezes.

    • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks FAY ~ Yes (like CUBA) Cornwall does have a N & S Coast. I love TINTAGEL when it's warm enough to swim ! Yours BRIAN ~ CUBA was warm & humid ~ Essex is just warm ! B

Well I just love the heat - can't get enough of it but not surprising given my bodies response to zero and below. It was in the 40s in Portugal so no wonder there were/still are terrible fires raging there.

      • BRIAN & ANGELA

THANKS MIKE ~ i PREFER IT TO BE WARM rather than freezing ! The Forest fires in Portugal took a high toll (60 +) many who tried to escape by car and their homes were untouched by he fire ~ TRAGIC ~ BRIAN

Yes and we were driving through the area only 24 hours before it started. The following day although some 20 km away we could smell it in the air and the sky was covered with a cloudy haze - in fact when we woke up we thought the weather had taken a turn for the worse until we put the TV on.

I start morning when it gets above 12c, imagine what I am like now when it is nearing thirty. I never complain in winter unless it gets too warm!!

TRUE ANDY ~ Most Brits are Northern Stock (Anglo Saxon) like the VIKINGS so we are genetically programmed for the COLD but not the HEAT My African & West Indian Stuents are loving the WAVE ! Yours BRIAN !

I''m waiting for a nice hot pool/beach day myself. Very nice acrostic. Please do not give the undertaker any additional business! Glad you are cooling off at the beach!! Hugs Christina

                • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks CHRIS I am only 15 minutes from the beach ~ so i was able to pop down in the lunch hour. 35 C (95 F) in places today but the UK Coastal Waters are always less than 60 F so nice and cool. so I won';t die of heat stroke and much cooler next week and at the weekend and rain ! Hot Hugs ~ BRIAN

Brian I can feel your pain
Thankfully today we had some rain
                      Otherwise all told
It's not too hot and not too cold

I have to admit, I do like living in Hawaii!

                      • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks FRED ~ A Great State to be in ! I visited HAWAII (very impressed with the ARIZONA Memorial) in 2000 (MARCH) on my way back to the UK from New Zealand. Lovey Country and lovely PEOPLE ~ BRIAN
