You know in my eyes you
can see it--the fear.
The pleading for help
and anxiety sincere.
For so many reasons I need
your reassuring hand.
Sometimes I feel like I'm
stuck in emotional quicksand.
Just need you by my side
please don't go run and hide.
Fear dreams keeping me up at night,
Stay by my side during my plight.
I love you for being here
and for promising to stay near.
Because you know in my eyes you
can see it--the fear.
