As a poet

Tony36

As a poet

I bare my soul

Opening my heart

Letting my emotions flow

As a poet

I explore the world around

Feeling the very core of existence

Laying the beat down

As a poet

I get stressed

Pouring out my emotions

Help me untangle that mess

As a poet

I am emotionally charged

Letting the world know

My words come from the heart

Yes Tony, every time we publish we are letting it all hang out. A bit like leaving the house metaphorically naked, letting everybody see our soul. Scary and exciting at the same time!

Although I often write about views on life (often tongue in cheek) my poetry is rarely, if ever, about my personal experiences or emotions. I sometimes think perhaps I should write about them and would benefit from doing so but somehow I find it hard to expose myself this way. However I do admire those who do and this poem so well expresses what it is like to do so. A super piece Tony.
