PADDINGTON BEAR ~ A Blank Verse Acrostic Sonnet

BRIAN & ANGELA

 

 

P ADDINGTON BEAR ~ 60 next year ~ but like

A LL  fictional Bears ~ he'll never grow up !

D ARKEST PERU ~ that is where he came from

D ISCOVERED ~ LOST in Paddington Station 

I N  1958  in his hat and 

N ICE  warm Duffel Coat ~ loved Marmalade !

G O TO ~ Paddington Station ~ London ~ where

T HERE  is a Bronze Statue you can rub

O N ~ and some of the MAGIC will rub off 

N O CHILD  should be without PADDINGTON BEAR !

 

B EARS ~ Teddy ~ Rupert ~ Pooh ~ Paddington are

E VERY  child's best TOY ~ and I always buy

A NEW BORN  A Teddy !  Went to Peru

R EALLY  just to see where He had come from !

            Thanks CHRIS ~ leased you liked it ~ I know you like CUDDLY TOYS ! Most people buy traditional TEDDIES (Pink for YIN & Blue for YANG) for NEONATES ~ but I think all children should have BEAR with CHARACTER like PADDINGTON ! Pleased you learn about PB in the USA ! Hugs BRIAN
