LIMERICK 1

Michael Edwards

A disreputable tramp from Traillee

had illusions of grandeur so he

in his best handwriting

wrote a letter inviting

the King and Queen over to tea.

  • Comment from author about the poem: The Turner Prize is a British 'competition' for modern art which gets a lot of derision here in the UK - Many of the entries are regularly described as a load of bovine excretia by the public at large.............................................................. I might add by a public which has little ability to open their minds and embrace modern art although having said that - yes a lot of it is bull s**t. ................................................................. Anyway that explains the cartoon! !

    The QUEEN she replied
    To shatter his pride
    Have tea with thee ?
    No not me !

Thanks for another cartoon MICHAEL (which looks just like a load of bovine excrement !)

Also another fine LIM with an Irish setting | where indeed they originated | Limerick !

    Yours BRIAN
