PEACE? - Acrostic.

Goldfinch60

Perhaps it is a myth

Expecting that the earth will be calm

As tensions rise within the world

Causing distrust and enmity

Ever has it been thus

Hatred is a cycle that has revolved as far back as time's first record. Now, it's almost as if we have to look out for ourselves in this dark and malicious place. I do what I can for other people, even though I know I can't break this cycle alone. Good message Finch. It is indeed the truth.

I agree and the human race should tighten up and come together for a unity that works alongside piece and humanity. small but powerful write so a big well done to Goldfinch60.

Goldfinch you said a lot in these four lines. And John Lennon is one of my alltime heroes. Heck, at my age, I grew up with the Beatles!
And unfortunately as of now it is still a myth that the earth is calm. And I don't think it will change in my lifetime. But I do have hopes that one day somewhere in the future, that calm will prevail.

I share your hopes Fred but being the age we are, I am 69 this year, I don't think that we will see it and I am normally an optimist.

This makes the point so well - we seem to be going backward - will we ever learn?.

                • Goldfinch60

Very true Michael, will we ever learn.
