- Comment from author about the poem: A simple piece but of all my latest works this is right there at the top of my favourites - hope you like it. Plus another abstract.

A fine write and pic M.
cheers O
I could have written that with my cynical view of politicians.
I could not have painted that fabulous abstract though.
It was painted using fluorescent texture ink - not easy to get hold of. Thanks for your comment G
I absolutely love this Michael
It is just so bloody true
And to explain it with so
Few words is brilliant...
Aw thanks - I feel a bit awkward admitting it but I love this one too
I certainly would if I'd
Wrote it.... well done sir
A brilliant couplet, Michael! And love the fist being rammed down our throats by politicians in your painting.
Hadn't thought of the painting being interpreted that way but yes - I can see it now. Thanks for the comment.
Thanks MICHAEL ~ Love the AURORA BOREALLIS ~ very WIMBLEDON ~ mauve & green ! Love the doublet ~ both lines are equally true ~ BRIAN.
Well Andy's out but I bet the disruption to normal viewing will continue. glad you like the posting(s).
Well written and expressed
Thanks Tony
welcome
Michael, after reading it I fully understand why you like it yourself. There is no politician in this world who could express something so profound in so few words.
I printed it and it now hangs on my wall next to the computer. Hope you don't mind.
Fred - I am chuffed to think that you now have it displayed at home - do our American friends use the word 'chuffed'? Thanks so much for your comment.
Michael, you made me work again. Had to go and look up the meaning of "chuffed" (pleased, happy). Never heard it here in Hawaii, but number 1: While we may be part of the United States, we are different here. Ever heard anybody speak pidgin? And number 2: I am a bloody immigrant. What do you expect? 🙂
We are all bloody immigrants - I've got Welsh, Irish and Dutch blood and my wife is from Burma. I've heard pidgin spoken but have a job following it (come to that I have difficulty following a broad Scottish accent which often comes across as a load of codswallop to me) but was brought up on cockney which is a doddle!
One of my clients is Irish. Since he is in California, we mostly deal by email or phone. Twice now I had to ask him to put on his second in command because I just did not understand a word he said on the phone. I know it is me, and it is bloody exasperating!
Instead of a proper comment, let me just leave this with wild applause. 👏
Ah heather - I can hear it from here - thanks so much.
Art is a lie that tells the truth. Politics..... nicely done
Thanks for taking a look and for your kind comments Augustus
True that.
