We love to go to the Mardi Gras
Basqued and Masked in our La De Da
Uncle Michael Edwards was there
With his brush in his hand ~ and his nose in the air !
He painted the Picture (shown above)
Of Ann-gella and I dancing hand in glove
I'm on the left ~ looking like Mickey Mouse
Ann-gella's a Parrot or is she a Grouse ?
Oh what a Picture ~ our best by far
Thank's Uncle Michael and Mardi Gras
Thanks for visiting ~ comments welcome ~ Happy Hugs ~ BRIAN

Thank you Brian for such a great use of one of my humble blobs - I like the Uncle bit - reminds me of Mon Oncle with Jaques Tati - sadly forgotten now but had me in stitches as a young lad.
Thanks for your appreciation UNCLE MICHAEL ! I love your abstracts and for me they are much more than meets the eye. Love the reprise of MON ONCLE (Jaques Tati) I have seen his films and hey are all very very funny. Alas Humour today (or what passes for Humour) can't hold a candle to the past. We had a mention of Victor Borg the other day and of course Dad's Army ~ Faulty Towers and all the Carry On Films ~ c'est la vie ! Yours Nephew BRIAN
Monsieur Hulot's Holiday was my favourite. Oddly enough ny son was berating the disappearance of comedians he remembers from his more recent past - Roy Jay and Emo Phillips were two I recall him mentioning.
Oh such wonderful
frivolity
his painting's captured you
to a tee.
Lovely fun piece, makes me smile.
Thanks BE ~ pleased you njoyed the JOKE ~ BRIAN
A fine write B.
Thanks for your appreciation STEVE ~ BRIAN
Fin filled to the brim this jaunt to the carnival after viewing that wonderful abstract by Michael - smiling as I write Bravo for your wit Uncle Brian.
Thanks FAY ~ As you well know ~ every one of Michael's Paintings tell a story ~ whether he intends it or NOT ! Yours BRIAN
Love this Brian......
Really great use
Of word...and like
The picture it
Paints it well...
Thanks Friend ~ The picture stirred my MUSE ~ Thanks BRIAN
The picture is of my brain on good poetry, such as this clever one. We have our own Mardi Gras here on the coast of Alabama ... much fun! Thanks for this fine contribution, Brian.
Thanks LOUIS ~ YES Alabama a great State to be in ~ and Mobile a great City Thanks for sharing ~ BRIAN
Very nicely done. I miss the revelry.
An absolutely wonderful poem to go with such a stunning Michael Edwards painting! It is so fun to actually go Mardi Gras and be a part of the festivities. Would love to try your Creole cooking! 🙂 Hugs-Christina
Oh! I'm almost feeling like an outsider. It is like all the sober and emancipated people gathered out here. I wish my poor English would get miraculously fluent from day to night so I could understand and participate more on such interesting conversations. I love this pairing with all of its dripping colors. Wonderful art. I can paint too but never been brave enough to post any of my work here. Brian, you always has a way of pay tribute for others. Thank you for your beautiful soul. God bless.
Good fun write. Michaels abstracts always talk to me as well.
