MAN ~ not created as City Dweller
There is no Peace in the White Man's Cities
No Place to hear leaves unfurling in the Spring
No Place to hear rustle of insect wings !
What a life is it if you are deaf to the
Arguments of Frogs ~ around a pond at Midnight ?
MAN ~ no longer cooks on an Open Fire
He rides DEAD Steed of Steel ~ not LIVING Horse !
When MAN spits on ground ~ He spits on himself
The EARTH does not belong to MAN ~ but MAN
Belongs to the EARTH ! MAN did not weave the
Web of Life ~ He merely stands inside it !
Whatever affects the EARTH ~ affects MAN
What pollutes the EARTH ~ pollutes His own Soul !
Thanks for visiting ~ Comments welcome ~ NATURAL LOVE BRIAN XOX
The culture of the Native Americans is one of the richest on the Planet
The USA is just waking up to this after years of persecution & neglect !
When you visit America ~ go to Arizona ~ support them ~ share a meal
with them ~ dance and sing with them ~ they are the most Beautiful and
Natural people on Earth. I apologise to Native American Members if in
any way my poem lacks the dignity and respect you so richly deserve.

- Comment from author about the poem: TO ALL AMERICANS ! Please support the Native American Culture in your own State and throughout the whole of the USA. Support their Language and Artistry and Dances and give them a Forum in your own Community. They are the rightful Heirs to the infinite riches of the USA ~ make sure they get their rightful slice of the economic cake ! To make America Great again ~ you have to embrace and encourage its diversity. Especially ethnic groups like the Native Americans and the Amish etc' Respect their Culture encourage and enjoy their diversity ! What is your States attitude to diversity and minority groups ? Comments welcome ~ Love too All ~ BRIAN XOX

Agree heartedly Brian - peoples worldwide who revere the earth and its wondrous mysteries deserve to be heard and respected.
Thanks FAY ~ because you are blessed to live in Cornwall ~ You too live among a People who revere and respect their own Heritage of Soil ~ Sun ~ Showers & Society ! Thanks for your very positive comment ~ Yours BRIAN
Wholeheartedly agree but let us Brits not be 'holyer than thou' about this. Remember we TOOK the lands of british empire by force crushing resistance in much same way as early americans did.
Great piece of writing - provoked me as u can see lol.
Thanks for reminding us FRIEND of the atrocities perpetrated in the name of Great Britain and its Monarchy~ not only in the Americas but also in Africa ~ India and the Uttermost Parts of the World. Also in the 21st C we need to be more tolerant to IMMIGRANTS and the GYPSY COMMUNITY in the UK. In New Zealand ~ The Maoris are treated with the utmost respect ~ which is beautiful. Not so the Aborigines in Australia. In my opinion the Native Americans deserve their Culture to be more recognised and respected. When we visit th USA we should vist he Native American heritage Centres ~ make purchases in their Shops and greet them in the Supamarkets ~ OK Yours BRIAN
A fine write B.
Thanks STEVE ~ please you enjoyed it ~ BRIAN
burning-embers makes a good point in his comment. The history of mankind is the constant claiming of lands that were occupied by other tribes and other civilizations ... including such actions by American Indian tribes amongst each other. Such is the nature of the beast. Is it right? Can it be judged or condemned? It is what it is ... a part of the earth experience. Fine tribute poem, Briansodes!
Thanks LOUIS ~ we can\'t turn back HISTORY and GB has much to be ashamed of ~ as recently as the IRAQ WAR ~ when Tony Blur was convinced he was doing the right thing in supporting G W Bush in his determination to destroy the Hussain Dynasty ! They did ~ But in doing so they destroyed the whole Country of IRAQ with its proud History & Heritage ~ which is a TRAGEDY ! What I'm trying to focus on is the lack of opportunity and funding etc to support Individual Native Americans and promote their Communities and Culture etc. Thanks for your comment BRIAN
You are so welcome.
One of the most beautiful I've got from you. It speaks to me the way you wrote it, because I'm always listening to the leaves and the arguments of frogs 🐸. I can hear the insects wings everyday of my life even though I drive a Toyota, don't ride a horse. As for the Indians I live very close to a park called the battlefield park where they have the history written there for people to see. So sad! Thanks for your beautiful poem.
Thanks MALU ~ better to drive a 20 Horse Power Mustang ! (JOKE !) I am pleased you are tuned into the "Natural Orchestra" of The Creator's Flora & Fauna. Yes all Native American Tribes have suffered and many still do. When you meet them they are so so Beautiful and interesting an one of thousand reasons the whole World loves to visit the USA ~ Trump should take notice ~ AMEN Hugs BRIAN
Thank you 😊
Beautiful message in the picture and I really liked the poem. I have a small percentage native background and I really appreciate the poem. I have always felt strongly about the things that you discuss here. I echo also that I would never live in the city. It is amazing to see tribal dances, etc. This is one of my favorite topics that you've written about. Thanks for sharing! Hugs-Christina
Thanks CHRIS ~ I always suspected you were a SQUAW at heart and more at home on a Horse than in a Ford (Mustang !) Pleased you are still able to hear the frogs mating ~ great sound ! Pleased you enjoy the Native American Culture. Do you consider the State you live in is Native American Friendly ? Has its support increased (or decreased) in the 21st C ? In the UK we are not really GYPSY (Traveller) Friendly but we are increasingly Muslim (and Muslim Refugee) Friendly. Please check some of my other comments Thanks ~ A Cherokee Hug ~ BRIAN
What a great accolade - great verse Brian.
Thanks MICHEAEL as a Graduate Student of the USA and her History ~ Native American Culture is one of my plethora of interests ! BRIAN
I to am angry about white men who did this unspeakable act. I've studied
about the native americans and how the white men took their land. when more and more people were coming into the country they needed more room for settlements, and the way I see it they talked and did use something called indian removal. and took more land pushing the Indians westward. I am ashamed to be an American. call me benedict Arnold. (paul). man without a country. I hope this opens some eyes. onepauly
That is very true OP - Their bast land was taken from them (for the Settlers from Europe and elsewhere - and the Native Americans were pushed into Arizona and the desert ! Also the Buffalo Herds were decimated leaving them with a poor diet which is scandalous. Thanks for your interest & support | BRIAN
I loved it my grandmother is full native American I read it to her she loved it too Im glad I could read it to her its like you made it just in time she visits to place to place and travel and tells storys if she liked it must be a really good poem
THANKS for your very positive response TIA | I am thrilled your GRAN liked it | especially as she is 100% Native American. Sometimes they think poems written by Non-Native American are too Patronising and do not show enough respect. Pleased your Gran is enabled to tell stories about her Culture - Native Americans are great story tellers it is what we call the ORAL TRADITION whereby History & Folklore is passed on by word of mouth (oral) rather than the written word - OK Yours Brian (UK)
Good write but another things that you have to remember is that us Brits were the ones that started upsetting the Native American culture in America, the Pilgrims were not all saints!
THANKS ANDY | I have mentioned that and also our record in Africa & India was much ess tha altruistic, It is important to note that the Native Americans were not hostile to the fitrst settlers and helped them to survive ! They bit the hand that fed them ! Yours BRIAN
