Still A Nurse

Christina8

Even as I stay home from Nursing to raise a family,

I never forget about the sick, they are so ingrained in me.

I have witnessed the beloved of many infirmed,

I have seen the stunned faces of the concerned.

Although I have seen more suffering than I care to recall,

I would do it all over again--I would do it all.

So many fight their battles with life alone, and in pain.

Those were the ones I was determined, by their side, to remain.

I feel there is no greater gift I could bestow,

Than to lend my time and ear to the trodden so low.

It was an honor and a privilege to take care of the ill.

Just can't wait to get back to my career, someday I will.

To be a nurse is far more than just an occupation.

It's bringing forth hope for those suffering indignation.
