Tranquility
Tranquility is what I see before me.
A place of peace; a nice day dream.
A sun above; the grass is my seat.
There are smiles here and I have no phone to ring.
The beautiful people are lying under the sun’s rays.
The parents are watching their children play.
The couple brings a smile to the widow’s face
And as they all pass by each other,
Pleasantries are exchanged.
The dogs are barking and the people are laughing.
Friends are meeting,
To talk about when they are next going to go drinking.
It is a lovely day for all the people that I can see.
The jogger is walking, the cyclist is resting
And the artist is painting the scene.

So vivid the scene and its excellent description - - tranquility indeed dear Harvey.
Thank you.
"All the people,
So many people.
They all go hand in hand,
Hand in hand through their park life."
And for us, the Poet is "painting the scene." So very well, I might add. Thanks for sharing this one, Aa.
Thank you.
"Here's a little song I wrote,
You might want to sing it note for note,
Don't worry...be happy.
In every life we have some trouble,
When you worry you make it double,
Don't worry...be happy."
Great advice in general, but if one is happy all the time, they just may be squandering a life. My thoughts, anyhow. Thanks for your reply!
The artist may be painting the picture but you have painted it with words.
Thank you. I like to think poetry is my artwork and we are, all of us, artists trying to paint a picture.
"Come on let's write a song,
A little poetry,
Take a photograph,
Let's make some memories.
You can make it anything,
That you want it to be,
If you follow your heart,
Life is a work of art...
Life is a work of art...
Life is a work of art."
An inspired last line - as an artist I am quite envious that it's not mine 🙂
Thank you. What's mine is yours...to see.
"What's mine is yours,
Every breath I take,
Every choice I make,
It might sound crazy.
All my pain,
Washed away in the blink of an eye,
Yeah you saved me..."
