take me down the mountain

willyweed

take me down the mountain

onto the valley floor

take me down the mountain

I can't stay up here no more

high atop the mountain

above the castle keep

high atop the mountain

the cliffs are very steep

the ocean waves roll and crash

against the jagged rocks below

the ocean waves roll and crash

as the vessels come and go

some sit in the harbor

resting in the shoals

hatches full of memories

bound for ports within the soul

take me down the mountain

onto the valley floor

take me down the mountain

I can't stay up here no more

    • willyweed

Well Kevin first hello my friend, I am in a battle with cancer and have not been well for a few months ,
but I am getting stronger as the days go by and expect a full recovery so no worries about me I hope to resume writing and reclaim a spot here as one to compete with raise the game. how are you doing my brother ww is back!

      • kevin browne

I was unaware of your situation but am gratefully glad you have returned and God bless you. so you're up for competition, are you? well, you have plenty to compete about but by the way of your come back poem I don't think many of us will have a chance by far if you keep writing like this. as for me, still writing as keen as ever and developing work on a regular basis. the passion is still there so watch out okay, you may be up for a bit of a match.
