The Outing

WriteBeLight

It took a while,

But, finally revealed.

The truth inside,

An envelope sealed.

Like a fisherman does,

On his hook, his bait.

With his keystrokes,

He lied in wait.

Sugar-sweet words,

To lure them in.

Typed up facades,

With a forked-tongue grin.

But, his ruse did last,

Only so long,

Before they fought back,

Forceful and strong.

See him flee,

Slither away.

Be oh so careful,

He may return someday.

Don’t be fooled,

Please don’t forget.

Never again tangled,

In his Internet.

Interesting poem. I was surprised to get the news of what happened. Wow this is terrible. Great write by the way.

Hi again! I agree. I read the poem that really opened up the topic and was so shocked. Sorry if you and others were hurt by that type of faker. Thanks for the compliment!

    • Fay Slimm.

Only read the postings on this terrible abuse today - was speechless with shock at what can occur -- this site will surely fare better now these truths are revealed - a good write with excellent imagery.

Thanks Fay! Great to hear from you. I was equally as shocked. Just stopped by and saw the haiku that really caught my interest. I am glad he was revealed for what he was. 🙂

Hey Brian! Great to hear from you. I will try to be more present. Just very busy. I missed you all, as well. Glad the people who were being abused stood up and took care of the issue! They are very brave. Thanks again Brian!

Good poem that again highlights this internet predator - I feel so let down - Thankfully he's gone now thanks, as you say, to some very brave women.

Hi there Michael! I had a hard time seeing everyone be so kind and giving, when I felt deep inside that he was a faker! But, I was just stopping by and saw that something was up. Glad things turned out the way they did before he could hurt others. Great to hear from you 🙂

            She's back, great poem...
            Has something happened ?
            Welcome back WBL...
            Missed your wonderful work

I am fine PH. Thanks for asking. Needed a break to focus on my work. And, I felt uncomfortable regarding the DS situation. I felt creeped out by him and felt bad that everyone was being so kind to such a bad character. So, I will try to post more regularly! You are kind and sweet!

I have a rule that I live by
Treat a lady like a lady,
Even if she doesn't act like one.
I try never to hurt anyone
                Someone once said to me
It you can't say anything nice
                Say nothing.....
Glad your back.... hope you and
                Yours are well.....

WBL, I'm so happy to make your acquaintance. Great spill about our unfortunate incident on MPS! Lessons learned and eyes peeled, for sure. Thank you for this tribute, and I'm sure I speak for the other ladies as well.

Thanks so much for your kind words Heather T. Check out my poem Eat Crow. I wrote this after an encounter with him. He is certainly the lowest of the lows. Thanks again 🙂

So good to see you back WBL. Hope to see your work flourish on here once more.

Ah Goldfinch! So nice to hear from you. Hope you and yours are well. I hope to be able to do so. Maybe not as much as before, but as much as I can! Thanks for your kind words. 🙂

So well written WBL. I won't touch on the topic again since hopefully it is now behind us. But am horrified to find out how many writers were affected. He never wrote anything bad about me, but then I am a 69 year old guy, not a beautiful young woman.
In any case, if you read some of my comments or talk to Heather, you know where I stand.

Thanks for your chivalry, you Nobleman on your trusty Stallion 🙂 I did read your comments after I read Heather's story. All the same, and regardless of age or gender, the snake spread his snake oil around, tugging on heart strings for his own personal gain. Worst kind of creature. Thanks again Fred!
