Tune: Ode To Joy
('Joyful, joyful, we adore thee')
*********
Psalm 31 v.1-2
In you, O LORD, I put my trust
I who am but earth and dust
Let me never be ashamed for
I do trust your mercies sure
Deliver me, you are righteous
You will keep and guard sure us
Bow down your ear, deliver me
You my strong rock e'er will be
Psalm 31 v.2-3
And a house of defence, shelter
Graces on me do confer
Save me, you my rock and fortress
Come to me, and do me bless
Guide me, keep me, from the trap set
By enemy, still foiled yet
With your help, you are my strength here
I worship with godly fear
Psalm 30 v.10-12
You for me my mourning have turned
Into dancing, I had yearned
And prayed to you, your help needed
From troubles you did me lead
So my sackcloth do I put off
Enemies now, now more scoff
You have girded me with gladness
i shall praise you, you confess
Psalm 30 v.10-12
Praise and joy and celebration
Let rise now from each nation
My tongue 'tis my glory, will sing
Unto you my thanks shall bring
Not silent or downcast for e'er
Radiant joys in you we share
I will thank you, I will praise you
You come to my help anew
Psalm 28 v.7
The LORD my strength and my shield is
I take courage bold in this
My heart did trust in Him, and I
Am helped, this I not deny
So now my heart great rejoices
Happy now my state it is
And with my song I will sure praise
Grateful anthems to Him raise
Psalm 30 v.5
His anger endures a moment
Righteous judgement He has sent
In His favour there is life whole
His name glorify, extol
Weeping for a night may endure
But will not last evermore
For joy shall come in the morning
God's bright beams on us dawning

The joyfulness in the clip surely leads to spontaneous applause at the end. Let's not be crotchety about applause in church, even if I'm not keen on dancing in church myself! Am I too old for it?! doh.
Thanks Kat. With joyful themes, I sometimes feel I want to make them even longer! Not a tirade - that's grumbling, etc. But a flowing forth (not waffling!).
Great O - I could even hear the music as I read it.
Thanks Michael.
What an uplifting and happy, feel good poem! Thank you.
Thanks Fred.

Thanks Brian.
Good write to a wonderful tune. It is a pity that Beethoven never heard it.
Thanks Gold. I expecting he is hearing it now, though he only 'heard' it in his mind before.
Very, very uplifting!
Thanks WBL.
