These words fell onto the paper,
The paint dropped onto the canvas,
So meaningful in their own way.
Sometime seeming meaningless,
But the words and the paint intertwine,
Leaving an aura of wonder
In the minds of all.
The words falling from the mind of the poet,
The paint laid down from the visualisation of the artist,
Both mind and visualisation so creative,
Creating harmony.
Harmony on the page,
Harmony on the canvas,
Harmony in our minds.

- Comment from author about the poem: The Painting is by Michael Edwards he put it on the site yesterday with his limerick, he got the idea from a photograph of rain that I had put on the previous day. We had a talk about this about how his painting had morphed from the photograph and I said that some of my words also change when I start writing. This gave me the idea of writing these words showing how painting and words could come from similar places - music could be included in this idea as well.

A fine write Goldie. But I can't say Scion-wotsit after a few sherries. Also *gets out dictionary to look it up*.
You will not find it in a dictionary - even after a few sherries - it is the title of the painting.
Ahh thanks. I thought it was relating to 'scion'.
Thanks for putting this on the site - feel flattered that you should use my painting - and it's a darn good poem to go with it.
Thanks Michael, it was a pleasure to use your painting as the inspiration.
Very imaginative write
Thank you Shannon, imagination can be wonderful at times.
Love the beginning, in particular.
Thank you WBL.
Thanks ANDY ~ In ART ~ there is a symbiosis between Literature ~ Visual Art & Music ' KADINSKY showed it between Visual art & Music and in Maori Art there is always a lot of Y WORDS Incorporated into the Painting to supplement the imagery. All cartoons & comics are a blend of words & visual art. Loved the picture ! My title to MICHAEL was a sack of Cement or Mortar or Flour etc in Liverpool "Falling off the back of the proverbial Lorry" Love the poem ~ Yours BRIAN
Thanks Brian. I likrpe Kadinsky's work.
Bright writing. Love the purple on the painting. Something about raw jewel stone.
Thank you very much.
Lovely piece about the agreement that happens between fertile minds and their chosen mediums. I think it is born from the same places, just birthed through varying filters. Enjoyed both your words and Michael's artistry.
Thank you Heather, all arts can intermingle.
Good melding of the arts Very creative
Thank you WLS, much appreciated.
