Intake.

Fay Slimm.

Intake.

As division trembles on time's very edge we
sit on bent grass and wind-dried heather
tracing the breaking of dawn.

Like eyes each disc of light assails in-coming
shoreline to scatter blackness as tide
sighting morning gilds its form.

Pulsating with power day bursts forth with
oceans of jewelled diamanté-darts
coating each breaker in glitter.

What awesome intake this token cliff-top
display of unbroken performance as
sunbeams complete dawn's finish.

Indeed, "As division trembles on time's very edge", nature plods on at its own pace and timing. Beautiful thoughts in an ugly time for mankind, Fay!

  • Nicholas Browning

It feels chaotic, but in a pleasantly descriptive way. Nicely done.

Beautiful write, I was sitting on that cliff top with you.

Fay, there is nothing like watching the sun rise from the ocean (except maybe the sun sinking into the ocean), and the way you described it is awesome!

  • WriteBeLight

    Very refreshing Fay. Nice thought!

Swelling with bounty and grace; your words paint a sensual feast for the eyes and the ears as those waves come barreling and crashing into the "intake".
