Tune: Lux Eoi
('Alleluia, Alleluia, hearts to heaven and voices raise')
*********
Have bold courage, step of faith take
Faithful souls, to God awake
Not spirit of fear to hold you
But His Spirit to renew
Spirit of power, love, sound mind
In Him riches you shall find
Hearts inspired and minds renewed sure
Living in Christ evermore
Not by might or by own power
But trusting Christ every hour
He shall gifts on you endower
Fresh and bright, not stale or sour
And too fruit your life shall produce
Firm set in Him, not weak, loose
But abiding as branch in Vine
He shall work in you, refine
Ever changed into His image
Christ 'tween man and God the bridge
Promise of His Spirit outpoured
We are certain and assured
He, Comforter, ne'er t oelave us
He shall guide us, teach us, bless
'Til we come to full conformance
Through His work, His performance
Trusting daily, on through thick, thin
Following where He has been
With His Spirit He enables
Each His children, that none falls
But His loving purpose working
In our lives, we them Him bring
Seeking, praying, discern His will
He shall aid through good and ill
'Til bright morning, lasting dawning
When we shall e'er worship, sing
And too praise Him here on earth while
He heavenly mansions compiles
In our brief life, gospel message
Lasts through every time and age
Help us Lord, the time to redeem
Fleeting this world's sojourn seems
