Michael Edwards

A very odd man from Koblenz

who followed the latest trends

wore specs framed in red

on the top of his head

so he wouldn’t wear out the lens’

Now if he'd worn them on the end of his nose....

Written quickly - got a few more as fillers while I write my more serious 'stuff'.

        Good fun write.

        Another wonderful abstract Michael.

Thanks Andy - actually I've posted most of my paintings and beginning to re-post as I don't paint 7 paintings in a week - usually just a couple.

          • Goldfinch60

I can understand that Michael, even a couple a week is good going. If this is a repost painting it must have been on here prior to my joining the site.

Thank you so much Michael. As a Swiss I am so happy Koblenz is in Germany and not Switzerland! So the joke is not on us. The Swiss don't wear em on top of their heads, they hide it in the cheese! (That is what the big holes in Emmentaler are for!)
            Seriously, I love your limericks!

            • Michael Edwards

That's what I love about this site - you learn something every day but are the holes big enough? An interesting thought in its own whey - oh its a cracker.

He couldnt decide the best browsers, so he kept two or three in his trousers,
but at time for bed, he watched videos instead, with voluptuous girls in big blouses.....
spur of the moment fun m8

What channel were the big girls on? Cant find it!! Ta b-e

Actually out of interest limericks have a reputation for being a bit 'saucy' but I tend to steer away from that for posting purposes - but on second thoughts might try the odd one.

Thanks MICHAEL ~ Your abstracts are mind blowing ! I looked at this one in a mirror and i could clearly discern a deconstructed HERR KOBLENZ ~ His specs ~ red framed ~ his head and all ! I liked the LIM as well !

If the frame of your Specs is red
Then never wear them in bed
                  Because when you arise
                  To your spouses surprise
You will have ~ big red rings
                  round your eyes !

Keep us all amused ~ BRIAN

                  • Michael Edwards

love the poem and as for my abstracts the correct way up is only determined by where I place my signature - however never thought of the mirror test before - must give it a go!!

Your art drew me in ... I love it!
Cute limerick too! Thanks for sharing, Michael.

It's a strange one this - I was originally going to hang it landscape having painted it that way but when I did a bit of twiddling (an artistic expression) I decided it worked better in portrait mode. Thanksso much for looking in.

                      • Louis Gibbs

The artistic technical term 'twiddling' is beyond my pay grade I'm afraid, but you are quite welcome.

                        Made me laugh

I laughed with this one. Fun write

                      • myself and me

Ha, ha, I used to have a specs in red frame. Reading this, just save me from my long day. Love the color in the paint.

Thanks m&m - mine have quite electric blue arms and the front is grey - and I wear them on my nose !!
