Dancing with Shadows.

Goldfinch60

I lay in the darkened room,

Just my thoughts for company.

The moon rises,

Its light pervades my thoughts.

The breeze stirs the trees

And their shadows

Dance on the walls,

And I dance with them,

Dance with Nature’s shadows.

I like this a lot. The feeling it gives is similar to how it feels outside right now. Good one Finch.

I wrote a poem like this too. It started: "I lay in a darkened room / Recovering from sherries....."Then I did not write any more! Strange that. lol.

Not so strange, the pork pies probably took precedence.

I enjoyed this - its strange where our mind takes us when it's given freedom to roam!

                        • Goldfinch60

The mind is a strange being and can take us anywhere. Thank you for commenting Sue.
