Fit for a king indeed Brian. Nice presentation.
Thanks FRANK ~ It is a balanced MEAL ~ fats ~ carbs ~ protein ~ minerals & vitamins ! So what more could a King require ~ we always wash with down with Pale Ale but Champers is just as good ! Thanks for your comment ~ BRIAN
First Santita and now yourself - I must write one of these. This one is great as is the dish itself.
Thanks MICHAEL ~ Indeed ~ there are 100's of Poetic Forms but this is the tastiest ! BRIAN
A very yummy write my friend - and with a sprinkle of such classic form it indeed becomes a dish fit for kings. Great read.
Thanks FAY ~ I know from experience that "West Country Fish" is always fresh and tasty and they cook a good chip as well ! What better could Royalty Eat & Cornish pasties a well of course ! Yours as ever ~ BRIAN

Thanks ANDY ~ For Healthy Mind in healthy Body ~ Good Poetry and Fine Food are both essential ~ AMEN ~ BRIAN
A fine tasty write. Meanwhile, I 'm driving some people mad with me syllables thingy! lol
Hi STEVE did you go to rural oneroom school ! Think of a word as a PEAPOD ~ The syllables are the PEAS ! WORD has ONE ~ PEAPOD has TWO and SYLL ~ A ~ BLE has THREE ! In Iambic Tetrameter there are 4 x 2 = 8 syllables and in Iambic Pentameter there are 2 x 5 = 10 syllables
~ OK If we consider a HAIKU (5 7 5)
The sad green frog sat (5 syllables)
crying on the lilly pad (7 syllables)
Louis ate his mate (5 syllables)
Thanks for your comment ~ BRIAN (7 syllables !)

Hum! Yummy!
THANKS MALU ~ I guess the calorific pleasure of Battered Haddock ~ Chips (Fries) & Mushy Peas are now universal and not just a Northern English delicacy ~ You can even get them in Rio ! Hugs ~ BROTHER BRIAN
I bet eating them in Rio it would taste like sugar loaf.
Hate you!! I'm on a diet. I know you're right tho..... oh my thoughts wander to the vast open spaces between me and the chippy, vinegar tears of regret salt my platter. Nice one!
Thanks BE ~ Trouble is I cant resist putting a visual in ~ Yummy We still have some old fashioned CHIPPIES but a lot are now HYBRIDS and full of Eastern Promise ~ Who in their right mind would put aqueous ETHANOIC ACID (CH3COOH) @ pH 4 ~ as well as SODIUM CHLORIDE (Na+ Cl-) on our FISH & CHIPS all in the name of FLAVOUR. Eating them al-fresco ~ out of newspaper with a can of IRN BRU is the ultimate fine dining ! Thanks for your comment ~ BRIAN
Mmm food... these always make me hungry hehe

Wonderful poem, but we'll agree to disagree on the peas! 🙂 But a fish dinner is fit for a king. Or a Queen! 🙂 Hugs-Christina
Thanks CHRIS ~ you can have it with ~ baked beans ~ sweetcorn or carrots etc ! Mushy (mashed) Peas are a N England delicacy and an acquired taste ~ so i absolve you ! I like Haddock best ~ more flavour than Cod ~ and best for a Queen ! Pleased you found this one ! Hugs full of Flavour ~ BRIAN
