Reflective

Accidental Poet

It’s just my nature

To be contemplative

To open my mind

And think meditative

To review my past

Memories selective

The teacher and student in me

I tend to be reflective

My younger self

Full of mistakes

Lessons for my older self

When my wisdom wakes

So now that I’m older

There’s much I’ve earned

Most of all the many things

From which I learned

I now see I should have

Thought things through

The various outcomes

My main priorities too

A chosen career path

Too late to materialize

Due to foolish adolescence

And confidence confused eyes

But all in all

As I sit here today

Life is still a gift

A gift every single day

It's a wonderful life we have to be able to live upon our lovely planet and as the years teach us to love our surroundings and not take things for granted. We become worthwhile once we relax. Sincere and clearly thought writing.

                  A gift every single day"
