She walks down the street
so anyone can see
short flare skirt far above her knee
With her pretty smile
dimples on her face
show some innocence
from her under skirt lace
She is selling her candies
money is necessary
she has many flavors
honey, lemon, cinnamon, cherry
The kids adore her
running from all over
as she makes offers
they all comes closer
Just one thing is odd
as some people whine
what are those old guys
waiting down the line?
I wonder what they have in mind
but I guess it is just fine
as the kids, they just like candies 🍭

Candies can be wonderful.
Yes, even if the candy girl does not wear short skirt. Thanks for reading
Very cute and very sweet!
Thank you so very much.
Old guys can innocently appreciate the brilliant beauty of a young girl child too, as your fine poem implies. Kudos, mb!
Thanks Louis. Yes, beauty is beauty and to be appreciated. And we all love candies.
That is the idea but you know it happens everyday and we can not control desire. The old guys here they were like kids two. Just want some fun. When I was the candy girl I would smile to them and sale tons of candy just because being cute and young. It was pure joy. In my country we are not so moralist. I did not mind them but I knew most of them were there to have some fun. I found them cute.
One of the problems with growing older is that any interest shown can be misinterpreted - I love children but the idea of giving them a smile is something to be wary - it can be a sad world, This is a delightful read nonetheless.an
Yes Michael. And now it is for men and women. Here in USA no one can get closer to a child anymore. Well, in Brazil is not so much. I don't know if you read my comments before but I explained that I was the candy girl. I enjoyed the old guys too even though many would flirt with me and try some proximity. When a young girl is selling anything she is going to be flirted anyway. I was a seller and it happens. Thanks for reading.
Very well written, Malu. I love it. And the 'old man' twist at the end, though unexpected, is true. I too grew up in bpc (before politically correct). It was only fun as you say.
I'm happy you understand it. Yes, it is too much moratily now but it is all to disguise something. Sometimes one can not even smile because you can be misinterpreted. Under that moralatity lays wicked minds. I truly had fun being a candy girl but I saw some old ladies complaining because they older husbands wanted to go buy candies. Hehe 😂 I love to see the old guys that still appreciate beauty. Beauty is beauty older or younger.
At risk of being misinterpreted love the double meaning love the candies good poem
Thanks for your sweet comments.
We all love candies 🍭
As an old guy i have to add i certainly appreciate beauty and the beauity of a young lady is something older men get to only observe. No wonder you sold your candies so well for your beauty still radiates. Really pleasant to read. Thank you.
Thank you d.a. For your lovely comments.
Thanks MALU ~ Love the poem and love all the comments and your BRAZILIAN replies ! I have noticed in Mexico & Peru and Cuba (where I have been this year) Men & Women are not afraid to flirt and as you say Brazil sounds the same ~ My current GF Angela is half Spanish so she is very flirty ! I was recently in ESTONIA (E Europe) on a CRUISE ! There were YOUNG LADIES IN Traditional Dress (long skirts !) selling Salted and also Sugared Almonds ~ They and The Ladies Selling them were all very Beautiful and discretely flirtatious in an East European Way ! In the morning I bought 20 packets and I did get five kisses (there were five Ladies) so in the cause of EAST / WEST relations I also fell in love five times c'st la vie ! Thanks for sharing your experiences ~ beautiful ~ A Brotherly hug from BRIAN. I'm doing a Joint Fusion with SANTITA on Games & Pastimes ~ please add a Poem ~ Thanks B.
Thanks Brian. Will check your poem.
