Said and Unsaid.

Goldfinch60

Going through life

We hear people talk.

Some we understand,

Some we don’t ,

But much of what is said

Does not really matter.

There is also much

That is not said,

And therein lies the problem,

As much that matters in our lives,

Remains unsaid.

I really, really like this poem, Goldfinch! You are so right, but there is also the other side of the coin. 'We hear people talk', but we don't listen!

      • Goldfinch60

Very true. One of the things that I can do in my life is listen and I have helped many people just by listening.

"You say it best ~ when you say nothing at all" Somethings ANDY are best left unsaid ! Glass is an awesome artistic medium ~ love the visual ! Thanks for sharing # BRIAN

Thanks Brian. That 'glass' you refer to is a B flat bass.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh ANDY ~ I should have read your comment about the poem ~ Love Brass Bands having lived in Yorkshire for a while ! But I love GLASS (as well as BRASS) and my eye and brain interpreted the photo as a beautiful "banana" yellow "Glass bowl" ! You could THROW it but you couldn't BLOW it ! Yours BRIAN

A keen and accurate observation here, Goldie. Well put!

Aaaaah wise words indeed. But you sir say so much in your works about the things we take for granted in our everyday. You have the way of making something bright worthwhile and interesting out of the very dust which gathers upon our day to day. Nice writing, pleasure to read.

So very true. Not only important things are left unsaid also when said we don't listen or don't understand. I've told you before. You are a wise man.

Thank you mal, you are so kind.

I know what you mean. Some people just go on and on speaking, I said some people just.......! And are they talking sense, or waffling?! I SAID it's a good write G/F. There, I've SAID it. I didn't NOT SAY It!

A reflection worth noting. So very true Goldfinch that some important things people say has fallen on deaf ears. ; )

"As much that matters in our lives,

Someone once said if you love someone, say it, do not wait till it is too late.
A deep reflection, both the poem and the picture.
