AUTUMN
Wilting growth in brawling tides
of mewing winds that tread the hills
with rustling ebbs of autumn hues
beneath a shredding canopy.

Gorgeous imagery Michael.
Thanks Frank
Did not notice you wrote a poem of autumn as well! vivid poem, love it
Thanks so much Adam
Wonderful imagery Michael and the painting with it works so very well.
Thanks Andy - I have posted the painting before but it went with the poem better than any others I could find.
I thought I had seen the painting before, it was well worth seeing again though.
Lovely autumn words, i picture the first signs on the leaves in my minds eye.
Yes - not evident here in middle England as yet but won't be long.
The blackberries were early again in Worcestershire...... i'll keep an eye out. Glorious colors of autumn.
Good write and pic M.
Thanks O
This is good, but personally, I did like winter better!
Well it's Spring next - tomorrow the whole poem
Autumn encased in a few choice words could never be bettered - great work Michael. Saved as fav.
Thanks Fay - I feel so honoured
AUTUMN ~ A wonderful chance for Mother Nature to open her PAINTBOX ! R O Y G B I V ~ Leaves every colour of the Rainbow and a thousand shades besides ! Thanks BRIAN
I love the colours - I feel a poem which invokes a verisimilitudinous vision in the eye of the reader would be appropriate.
What a lovely paint. And the poem is just as good. My favorite season is spring even though here in Florida it is a very smooth almost unnoticeable transition. Waiting for the spring poem and painting. Just a lovely idea Michael.
Aw thanks - spring is written but must sort out a suitable painting - might struggle a bit there
Love autumn and you captured its spirit
Thanks so much.
What a autumn. The color, the sound and the action. I am intoxicated in your autumn. This one is the winner so far.
Love the paint too. So beautiful.
Gee thanks - tomorrow the complete piece.
Love the image you create - love the phrase 'shredding canopy ' 😊
Thanks Sue
