THE SEASONS

Michael Edwards

THE SEASONS

SPRING

Scales fall as leaf blades break

and whirling sepals effloresce

with misting sprays in harmony

reflecting seasons early cast.

SUMMER

Dressed in hues of deepest green

the fields and hedges, trees and moors

with still no mottled leaf as yet

to fade from colours die.

AUTUMN

Wilting growth in brawling tides

of mewing winds that tread the hills

with rustling ebbs of autumn hues

beneath a shredding canopy.

WINTER

As stones that lie in frozen pools

when days grow short and ice accrues

and all that lies within is bathed

beneath a blankets cold caress.

Well put together Michael. Would be nice to have the pics for each in its place, but bravo, good effort..

A fine write of all the pieces together, at 'zero hour' into the day! (0:00).

The maestro rests his pen, having completed a masterwork. The effort was well worth it, Michael!

VIVALDI EAT YOUR HEART OUT ~ You have been eclipsed ! Thanks for completing Michael ~ The painting is a deconstructed Spring Meadow. For Men of my age Spring always promises much but oft times fails to "fully" deliver ! I should be a Pas de Diez by now ! Love the SPRING ODE ~ it describes just how I feel every MARCH ~ Yours BRIAN Both the lovely SANTITA and I have commented on ALL your Seasons # now it's payback time (we know where you live !) Click on DEVELOPING (in the Fusions Section) And SANTITA'S FUSION on "Dream Job when you were Young" will be revealed ~ there are eight entries to date. A pithy personal poem from your fair hand would ameliorate the rest ~ OK Thanks in anticipation ~ Yours BRIAN.

Like four buttons on a jacket for all weathers. They all come together bathed beneath the lovely blaize of colour above. The whole is more than the sum of its individual parts.

            • Michael Edwards

Thanks dusk - it came together in the end though I did worry about it having set myself up for a potential fall.
