Prisoner of love 💔

malubotelho

For times, she sat there, lonely, vacantly, waiting.
He found her.
His heart, finally unleashed, in love.
He covered her in silk and diamonds, he put the table and made the bed for her.
He wasted himself to give her lustful all night love.
He made her cry her pleasure out.
Her enjoyment turned to be his life.
He made her his priority.                          Vigilant of her sleeping, he sat there, waiting, thinking ways to please her.
He was the lord of her affairs as his only wish was her asking.
He loved her deeply, strongly, he uncovered his soul to her.
Despite of all his love, as the days passed and he had given her all, she felt prisoner of his desires for her.
Suffocated and tired she left.
His heart now, shut, screams in silence as she sits there,
lonely, sad and again, waiting.

  • myself and me

This is the kind of love that hurt both side.
    You write it so well.

    • malubotelho

Yes,it certainly does. It is terrible to love someone that does not love you or just want a play but it is same terrible when someone love you and you can not love back the same way. Thanks for your lovely comments.

Sometimes love can be suffocating. Too much good is bad. We all need our personal space, no matter how much we love the other person.
Malu, you captured all this and more in your beautiful poem. I like how it starts and ends the same, as if the time in-between is only an interlude.

Thanks Fred. Yes, you are right. Thanks for your observation on the way I wrapped it together to have a better impact finishing it.

        Beautifully written but so sad

        • malubotelho

I know Michael. It is sad. I said before and I tell you now. This was written based on true facts. I hope she go back and things come more into place for them. I mean, more realistic. Thanks for reading and commenting. Means a lot to me.

        • BRIAN & ANGELA

Thanks MALU for enlarging our concept of the extent and the extinction of LOVE. Often our Ladies accuse us of doing TOO LITTLE but your excellent ode informs us we can also do TOO MUCH and the result (rejection) is the same ! ME ? I like to get the balance just right ! Brotherly Hugs ~ from Brother BRIAN Love the PICTURE we can all relate to that ~ "Alone again naturally !"

          • malubotelho

Oh brother, yes, it is hard to measure. The guy got a too big grip. We all need to balance the feeling so we don't scare people. Thanks for always come to read my writings. You are my sweet brother Brian.

Awww Malubotelho,..... youve made poetry form the story of my life. I do so devote myself to my ladies pleasure. I enjoyed reading about myself too.... thank you (wink wink)xx

            • malubotelho

Wow! Really, this happens to you? I think you then need to begin to measure your love. Give them a little space. If you do, they go nowhere. They will love you more. Thanks D.A.

                Poetic licence.

              • Accidental Poet

Sometimes we push away that which we really want/need. Excellent poem malu. ; )

Thanks A.P. Yes, we do. Happened to me once. I was very young and in love with that guy that when I was close to him I would freeze and could not say anything to make sense. I think he thought I was a complete silly girl because our relationship lasted only about six months. I felt so bad after. So silly. It helped me mature though.

                  • Accidental Poet

I know the feeling. I too froze up at the once chance I had to converse with the love of my life. A mistake I'll never forget. But, life goes on. ; )

Beautifully sad but understand the suffocating love , well done

                  • Mugsdaddy

So sad and yet so true to life. He left her no room to grow. An unblossomed flower while still beautiful can never be fully appreciated because true beauty is never revealed. Very beautiful very deep very sad. Amazing and tragic. This is a masterpiece.
