EBB AND FLOW
Love sailed on oceans tears
that flowed to amatory lands
where deep in passions precipice
the throbbing tide discharged
its salty spray in time worn vaults.
In slow retreat from ebbed embrace
caressing melancholic shores
the waves sung out in harmony
as saline eyes shed golden tears
of waning love in oceans breeze.

Thanks O - no just in yards will do
Wow.... 'caressing melancholic shores, the waves sang out in harmony'... evocative, deep sadness.
Thanks so much - one of those poems that just seemed to work out as I put pen to paper - well finger to keyboard actually.
Super write, that boat will sail forever.
Cheers Andy
Very lyrical with nice imagery, poem goes well with your sculpture, good work
Thanks Bill - these little rustic pieces take quite a bit of time to make and although they do sell the return doesn't reflect the effort and they do take up quite a bit of storage space.
Beautiful sensual poem Michael. A pleasure to read first thing in the morning. It flows magically.
Thanks Malu and especially so for saving it.
Yes, it is my gift now.
A splendid saline salute to love for sure, Michael! I could almost feel the spray.
A salute or a wave? Thanks Louis
Thanks MICHAEL ~ In my limited experience LOVE does EBB & FLOW (DONNA E MOBILE !) BUT ~ when it does flow it always takes me with it ~ to the very edge of Paradise ! BRIAN
Don't fall over the edge Brian - thanks for the comment.
Words flow so gently in this sensuous poem -- a beautiful read and love the sculptured driftwood too.
Thanks Fay - that one was sold some while back
This is so beautiful, Michael! Wish I could write like this. Awesome!
