Ennobling Entrance

Tune: Truro

(one tune to 'Jesus shall reign where'er the sun')

Psalm 24

********

1. The earth it is the LORD's always

And its fullness to endless days

The whole world is His, it He made

All they that dwell there He arrayed

2. He founded it upon the seas

Creating it as He did please

Who shall ascend His holy hill

Those who have clean hands, pure heart still

 3. They who have not soul up lifted

To vanity, nor deceit-led

Such who ascend His blessing may

Receive, they humbly watch and pray

4. And too righteousness they shall know

He His salvation shall them show

This the generation who do

Seek your face LORD, you them renew

5. Lift up your heads, ye glorious gates

The King of glory, He awaits

To enter in Jerusalem

There His people to dwell with them

6. And lift up, everlasting doors

The King of glory of all shores

Shall enter in, He strong, mighty

Mighty in battle, you shall see

7. Who is this King of glory here?

Worship Him now with godly fear

The LORD of hosts, this King is He

His kingdom come, eternal bliss
