- Comment from author about the poem: In our COLLABORATION POEMS ~ Santi and I agree a Title (Theme) and the number of stanzas (verses) and allocate ~ you have to guess who wrote the first draft of each ! We then share and edit. Choice of visual is important ~ i love this one ! It is important that each verse has the same STRUCTURE (in this case 57577 English Form Tankas) and that they complement (but not overpower !) each other ~ And of course they must exemplify the Title. It works (and i trust you will enjoy the Poem) because SANTI and I are at the same level Poetically (Wordsworth ~ Grade 4) and also linguistically (although we could do one in Spanish) and on the same wavelength in our Muse ! For instance we both had the same Fall concept of the simile of the trees shedding their leaves ~ and exposing their naked beauty ~ and we shedding our clothes ! Please comment and if we get enough feedback we will collaborate on another. In verse 2 (Summer) the reference to OVEN BUN is to an English colloquialism for pregnancy we say "The Lady has a BUN in the OVEN !" Because we often cast caution and Durex to one side in "Summer Loving" it results in a healthy crop of SPRING BABIES ~ C'est la Vie ! Thanks FRANK ~ Collectively and individually the Seasons do stir my MUSE, SANTI and I both love AUTUMN (or the FALL as she calls it !) so this is a good season for us. The UK still enjoys FOUR very distinct seasons each an every Year which is a BLESSING ! Yours S & B

Thanks WLS ~ YES ~ It does add another dimension to one\'s Poetry ! Although SANITA and I are 4300 miles apart Physically and in different Time Zones 6 hours apart we can communicate through MPS and design ~ submit ~ edit and post the final Collaboration Poem ~ it does take time ! Poetically and in terms of \"life view\" we are \"Soul Mates\" so we quicklky agree on Title ~ Form and Linguistic & Content level. We write our verses ~ compare ~ edit ~ publish ! Well spotted CHRISTINA ~ I guess its the feminine touch that shows through. Because each stanza is allocated ~ and composed ~ separately there will be a gender bias ~ especially given this Title ! I guess Summer & Winter are more YANG than YIN ! Did you understand the implication of OVEN BUN ? It made me smile and I wrote it ! I love Tankas ~ twice as much scope as HAIKU (and less precious !) Every Poem I publish has A Picture (which sometimes inspires the poem !) ~ A Structure (Acrostic ~ Sonnet ~ Haiku etc) ~ A Story (the contents of the poem) ~ Color (or colors in which it is printed). I have been writing poetry for 24 years (10 ~ 34) and some of it has been considered GOOD ! SANTITA is an excellent Poet ~ great use of words ! We could choose JUST to publish singly ~ and we do ! BUT we chose to collaborate because we are poetic SOUL MATES ! We both consider that our Poem today (because we stimulate each other) is BETTER than either of our individual POEMS encapsulated in the COLLABORATION ! That (and the fact that the comments support it) makes the time and understanding and the creative effort to produce it ~ more than worthwhile !
