C IVILIZATIONS are fragile ~ they come and they go !
I KNOW that Urban Activity exploits Mineral Resources
V ARIOUS Civilizations (30+) have come and gone since 10,000 BC
I KNOW that Urban Activity exploits Food Resources
L IFE on EARTH is becoming increasingly URBAN !
I N 1900 only 15% of People lived in Cities ~ in 2000 50%
Z ANY City Dwellers use more Resources and produce more Pollution
A LL Urbanisation requires land ~ causes deforestation etc
T HE Earth's Rsources cannot sustain more urbanisation
I FEEL ~ in the UK & USA we should support and develop Rural Communities
O NE GLOBAL solution is to develop self~sustaining Village Communities
N O ONE needs to starve or be without Clean Water
O NLY drastic change can prevent Global Warming and reduce POLLUTION
K ILLING SPECIES ~ Increased Deserts ~ Polluted Oceans ~ Raised Sea Levels

Education ~ Employment ~ Entertainment ~ Opportunity etc. The internet has shown the Whole World what is available and ALL the Young People (15 ~ 30) want a slice of it ! The problem is the GOOD LIFE is always portrayed as CITY LIFE and now over half the World's Population (3.7 billion) live in Cities. The % of Global Urban Dwellers increases each year ! Is it too late to save Planet Earth ~ The only Habitable Planet ~ for Future Generations ? The answer is in YOUR HANDS ~ AMEN ! Comments welcome ~ BRIAN XOX

YES INDEED AP ~ Man has chosen to opt out of Nature ~ But his profligacy has almost destroyed Nature with Pollution and Global Warming (due to a doubling of atmospheric CO2) etc. Sow constraint and reap a Whirlwind ! Thanks for your comment ~ BRIAN
As long as the jobs are in the big cities, people will flock there. Then, after they made their money, they move back to the small towns.
