Monstichs by Fred (inspired by Michael Edwards)

FredPeyer

He only wanted to get drunk, the fight was a welcome diversion.

Since we are all going to die anyway, we might as well live it up.

After the door closed, darkness overwhelmed the light.

Got sun-kissed today, in the worst way, will gladly pay, just take the pain away.

They were lying on the sand like beached whales thinking of what to have for supper.

I completely missed the presence while waiting for the future.

Liquor sales went through the roof as soon as the peanuts marched onto the bar.

War is short for ‘warum’ (german: why), but nobody seems to know.

Healing a broken love is like fishing for intestines in a shot-up belly.

Yelling for help is counter-productive in the middle of the night, alone in the forest.

Ever wondered why we fall into love when in reality we climb to seventh heaven?

Plankton and whales, the littlest supporting the biggest, just like us and the government.

Woke up happy, got hit by problems, need to go back to bed and wake up all over again.

We don't need TRIDENT and scrapping it and its upkeep would solve all the financial problems of the NHS in one blow of the Nackers Yard. In 50 years time I may need a new HIP and I cant afford £100 k ! Yours BRIAN Please sample my RICE PEAS 'N CHICK befor Steve eats it all ! Thanks B.

Brilliant - I'm out-gunned - 12 in one go - I'll not match that but I'll sharpen my pencil for a few tomorrow.

        • FredPeyer

Thank you Michael, for reading and commenting. Didn't really mean to outgun you. But yours really did inspire me and while working on the computer I had another window open and every so often something popped up in my head and I wrote it down. Then a lot of editing, et voila!
Realized that you helped open a door to something I actually enjoy! Thank you!!!!!!!!!!!

These are some good thought Fred.

              • FredPeyer

Thanks Goldfinch, you know how it is, even a blind chicken will find some food sometimes. All it has to do is pick away!

              • myself and me

Like those one liners. It get the target in one shot, very incisive.

                • FredPeyer

Thanks M&M, they are fun to write, at least for me. Sometimes something pops up in the head practically ready to go, sometimes there is just that vague thought that needs to be molded into the final product. And except for that one where I rhymed inside the one sentence, no rhyming!

Thank you, PD! The first one was inspired by Charles Bukowski, the others were just random thoughts.
