FUSIONS 2

Michael Edwards

To follow a meal with a glass of red

I used to like trifle but now instead

my palette’s become far more astute:

a glass of white and a bowl of fruit.

Sounds like the way I too like to finish a meal Michael. Love the rhyming in this four liner.

Thanks Fay - it's healthy eating for me these days but I'm afraid is a great way to put on the pounds. In truth I stopped having wine on a daily basis with my meals about 3 months ago and immediately lost 8 ibs which I've maintained.

And what is wrong with another glass of red!

      • Michael Edwards

I do prefer red but white goes best with fruit - well for me it does.

And with the coffee a glass of Laphroaig Triple Wood.

Ah now that sounds the perfect ending to a great repast.

OVERSLEPT AGAIN MICHAEL ~ I was up a good hour before you and even managed to snatch a minute with SANTI (Numero Uno) before she flopped into BED ! Love the STYLE and sentiment of your elegant box like FUSION ! Please check my FUSION on Ladies I have posted my painting of EVE (dorsal view only !) for your predilection. Yours BRIAN

I did a major demonstration to a large gathering last night and was late back - now got to go and empty the car which needs a great clean. After that the studio needs sorting out and everything has to be put away and then to the bank to cash the cheque and then to start house cleaning which I share with my wife and then to the knackers yard methinks. Thanks Brian.

Good write M. Red or white, or blue or whatever (if they had blue wine). I shall add water to it! heehee.

I hear kinky pink is good but no not ever water - er what is water? Is it that tasteless stuff that comes in plastic bottles and idiots pay a fortune for? Sounds a great scam to me - might tap into it.

                • Michael Edwards

All wine's good but I do prefer red not that I am drinking so much these days.

                • FredPeyer

Michael, as a European who grew up with wine on the table all the time (not at breakfast!) your poem speaks, no sings to me! Prefer red, but when it is hot, a cool white is heaven on earth!

A meal without wine is like a day without sunshine and all that - thanks Fred

                  • Louis Gibbs

Made my mouth water with this one, Michael. Kudos!

Loved the poem, Michael! Not so much of a wine drinker but your poem is a wonderful rhyme nonetheless!
