I'll cuddle her ~ she'll never catch cold !
OXYGEN is gassy
keeps all living things alive
keeps Ladies sassy
so keep breathing ~ never skive
it boosts LOVE and sexual drive !

to URANIUM ~ We chose SIX ! Three very important non~
metals CARBON ~ NITROGEN ~ OXYGEN all essential for
LIFE and three very different METALS ~ IRON which is the
main constituent of STEEL ~ GOLD every Lady's favorite
metal ! and RADIUM ~ an important radioactive element.
Most of the POEMS are perfect 5 7 5 7 7 Tankas but some
are SUPA~TANKAS which help us to distribute OIL round

This really took me back, I was an analytical chemist at the start of my career and the number of elements in the Periodic Table was only 104.
YES ANDY ~ The Chemical Elements ~ there are now 118 ~ most of the transuranics are man made in the big cyclatron @ Berkley California hence some of their names ! Being a Chemical Historian I am very pleased some are named after exceptional Chemist's like MENDELEEV ~ The Father of the PERIODIC TABLE ! In 1906 he turned upon the Curie's doorstep to thanksthem for disovering RADIUM ~ which he has predicted and called eka~BARIUM ! Pleased it tweaked your memory ! Yours S & B
Good write there. Doh! I was OK until I got to the oxygen verse, then I needed some cos of a swoon!
Also, I tried doing without oxygen for 24 hours - a whole day. It was rather bad for my health. I'm dead now! oohh.

The Table of the 92 natural Elements was completed in 1939 with the discovery of FRANCIUM (87) so FRANCE got her element just as POLAND got hers when Marie Curie isolated POLONIUM (84) in 1898. We now have 25 Transuranic Elements (93 ~ 118) an more are added each decade ~ nothing is sacred any more. As a NURSE I am sure you appreciated the inclusion of C N & O which together with HYDROGEN (H) form the structures of the millions of the known Organic Compounds many of which are found in living organisms and drugs. Iron is the most important metal in Modern Technology and is also at the heart of the haemoglobin molecule which transports oxygen in the blood ! Well as you know we mostly deal with Na, K+, Mg, etc to get people stabilized with their electrolytes. After that, I have forgotten alot of the periodic table. Thanks for the in depth reply!
What a lovely gift from you two. This is beautiful and fun too. I was watching the series about Einstein the genius not long ago. I love to study and my main interest now is the quantum physics but I like chemistry too. I dye fabrics and need to use some chemicals to make it stabilized. Like to use organic dyes home made for just small amount of fabric. Thanks Brian and Santita.
