Infectious Smile
When Sharon smiles
She could make the stars jealous
Evident as they twinkle
Growing all the more zealous
Such as I
The young lad of ten
In silent awe of her
Wondering where I’d been
That before that day
I’d known nothing to speak of
Suddenly I found myself
Fallen into love
She smiled and halted me
Dead in my tracks
All train of thought
Amid heart and soul a new pact
That this girl
This smile will live in me
For all my days
Every second eternally
For when Sharon smiled
Within me the sweetest of change
From a boy to young man
This one girl could rearrange
Year after year
The course of countless sundials
I’ll never forget
Sharon’s infectious smile

Thank you so much Kat. Thrilled that you like it. Finally I've been able to post a video with a poem.
I just went to Youtube, found the video I wanted to use, and copy & pasted the first code I saw into the Youtube slot in the MPS page for publish a poem. This is just my first successful attempt, so tomorrow I'll try it again. Hope it works for you too.
AP,
Your poem is infectious! Kris Kristoffersonās video was a perfect accompaniment to your poem! Great job you did!
Thank you Laura, and your compliment is very appreciated.
That is so amazing! What a testament to your love. I remember the poem to Sharon, I didn't realize you were together all these years! Congrats! Wonderful poem!!! And video
I've not seen Sharon in 46 years since she moved away in 1971 when we were both only 14 years old. And it was really a one sided love. But I did tell her before she left. Thanks for reading Christina.
Oh sorry! I feel silly. Thanks for clearing that up.But it is a wonderful poem!
Good write and video AP.
Did you do copy and paste of the title bar, when posting the video?
Title bar? No, I hit "share" and a code appeared, I copied that into the Youtube slot in MPS Publish a poem. Then wahlah, it worked.
Ahh I see. I myself usually choose the title bar (the code) of the You Tube videos, then do 'copy' and 'paste'.
ok, I'll keep that in mind too. Thanks orchi.
Bit tricky to select the title bar sometimes. It goes blue in my case when I have selected it, then right click for 'copy' and then on poetry site, right click for 'paste' in 'upload youtube video' - if that helps!
Wow - - a super-lovely write with a great number to add to the pleasure of reading. about Sharon's smile- Thanks A.P.
Thanks Fay. Very happy you enjoyed reading.
A love poem for certain but the story is sad ....
I guess it's all point of view WL. For me its always been a blessing for the short time she was in my life has grown with me as I got older. Those four years I look back on with the biggest smile. Thanks for reading WL.
And it's a triple star from me too.
And 3 X the thanks Michael. Glad you like it.

Thanks Ron, Kristofferson nailed that song.
he is a legend for sure, glad you figured it out
Yes, I was thinking about what you had said, and I saw a different code than the one I was using. So I tried that and it worked. So 'tis I who should thank you Ron.
that`s what friends are for
And friends we are Ron. ; )
Good write, those smiles are so meaningful at all ages.
