A COUPLE OF COUPLETS

Michael Edwards

.

As scion to the stock is grafted

once as strangers, now united.

I never pass a toilet by

and only pass in toilets.

  • Comment from author about the poem: Serious and silly - can''t beat it for a Sunday. Plus an abstract which is really a bit dotty - I do know I felt a bit pollacked by the time I'd finished it.

The second one is so true Michael, I can really relate to that one.

I do like the painting, so many different forms can be seen in it and they change all the time, it could require a lifetime of studying and even then not all would be seen.

Thanks Andy - seeing it on screen I feel a bit more work may improve it a tad - the area about one third in from the left is a bit 'hazy' so a bit more dotting is called for.

A fine couple and pic Michael. It's like one of those 'hidden pics' where you can find a face in it, or a number, as in those colour-blind tests.

      • Michael Edwards

Certainly hidden - have you 'spotted' it yet?

A pixillated offering if ever I saw one dear Michael and such patience in brushwork to get that result. A gorgeous picture and couplets to ponder for the weekend. The second one raised a relating smile for I do the same.

Al the time - even when you are not desperate - you never know !!

Love the ABSTRACT ~ Pointillism meets Jackson Pollock |~ awesome ! Love the lack of meaning in your doublets ~ I trust your HOSE is better ~ it's now the watering season ! Now I'm sounding as MAD as your are ! Yours BRIAN '

Seurock or Pollat - not sure which. Me mad? Never. The entire family have it all wrong!!

I do like your dotted painting. Always love your artwork. And two fine couplets. The second one is so silly!

            • Michael Edwards

Thanks Christina. The second one came to me last week in Funchal when I was desperate - had to dive inside a pavement café and pretend I was a customer all nonchalant like...!

                It happens to everybody! Lol....
