Dancing In The Rain

Christina8

The torrential rains that fall outside

try to mimic my tears

But I have no more tears to cry-

the first in many years

I go outside and the raindrops

lick my cheeks where my tears once were

And it starts to bring joy to me

A small feeling starts to stir

I realized I never got to dance in the rain

"Because you will catch cold!"

I stood out looking up to the sky with a smile

And I giggled without a thought to the scold

Well, I looked like a wet animal

and that I had just had a shower

But I'll tell you that by dancing

in the rain I had taken back more power

    Beautiful Christina!
Keep on dancing in the rain my lady
and the power will be yours each day!
    It reminds me of ...
“Dancing in the Rain”...a Gene Kelly movie.
My mother loves it...and so do I!

You write about a favourite way of mine to shake off dark moods - go dance in the rain - or in the snow as I once did and loved it. A charming read on taking back power.
