WHEELS !

BRIAN & ANGELA

ME & ME MAM ~ PUSHIN' ME PRAM (1985)

When I was a bouncing Baby me Mam

Pushed me round in coach built PRAM

I was me Mama's pride an' joy

BRIAN O'MALLY her cute Baby Boy !

I grew and I grew ~ like all babbies do

I learned to walk ~ to run and to talk

I loved to walk ~ but not for too far

I loved to ride in me Dada's CAR !

Than on one Birthday ~ me Uncle Mike

Bought me me first two wheeler BIKE

Now I was free ~ free as a bird

Now in the streets ~ me horn could be heard !

Now on me BIKE I rode mile after mile

Chasin' the Girls an' makin' them smile !

But to woo sweet Mary ~ a suitable suitor

I had to buy me a LANBRETTA SCOOTER !

Nothing is betta a real go~getta

Mary an' Me on the Red Lanbretta

When the Sun shone our scooter a winner

But when it rained we got soaked to our skinner !

So I decided ~ for our love to endure

I'd have to buy me a posh MOTOR CAR !

I bought me a FORD ~ you should 'ave seen her

Velvet Blue with chrome trim ~ our first CORTINA !

So I've come full circle ~ four wheels on me Pram

All round the neighbourhood ~ pushed by me Mam

Now in our New Motor ~ Sweet Mary & I

Can drive where we like ~ an' nobody asks WHY !

Thanks for reading ~ comments welcome ~ Love BRIAN XOX

THNKS STEVE ! Not it was 1985 not 1066 ! In our lives "Wheels Rule OK !" We come in on FOUR WHEELS and we go out on FOUR ~ the only time we have more is when we are roller skating on EIGHT ! Yours BRIAN

WELL CHRIS ~ seeing is believing ~ like I believe that Scrumptious Lady in your AVI is really you ! In the 21st C all the lovely Coach Built Perambulators (nice word !) have been replaced by STROLLERS which fold up and can be stowed in the boot (trunk) of the Family Car ! Thanks for commenting ~ please check my FUSION ~ Big Hugs ~ BRIAN @@@@@@@

Your life on wheels as you describe, appears to have been a pleasant one, and I must say your mom is quite a lovely lady. Well done write, Brian. Wheel on!

Great picture and great poem, Brian. Wheels are so important, especially that first bicycle, moped, and finally car. For me the wheels I still like the most are my motorcycle's.

            • myself and me

Life on wheels. From a baby boy to a lovely young man to a wisdom adult. Wonderful.

I remember pushing our kids around in a pram like that - am I that old?
Good write Brian just one thing it is Lambretta not Lanbretta, back in the sixties there were the mods and rockers wars and the mods used to ride Vespas and Lambrettas, the rockers rode motorbikes.
