Dreamscape.
Descent to sleep induces awakenings.
New experience with shadowy worlds
reveals strange happenings turning
to sane with unexpected pace.
Denial of will occasionally hampers yet
defeat proves unreal when
sudden-grown wings lift awe to spaces
of unbelieved freedoms
never before even conceived.
We can fly, walk on water, speak to lost
loved ones, see shades cross
boundaries and colour transform, inhabit
silence or listen to angelic chorus
voicing with harps in abundant delight
all before Ascent beckons again.
No life is complete without dreams, former
despair disappears when halted
hope finds accomplished what time denied,
no initiation so exciting
as standing in naked vulnerability unafraid
and no realization so stirring as memory
painting white grievous
nightmares while letting new love-light
melt fear of adventurous
descent to the dreamscape of sleep-time
which has fantastic awakenings.
