THE BOOK

Michael Edwards

THE BOOK

The eyes that traced across each page

both line by line and word by word

transmitted not to wandering mind.

The book upon the bed now lies

In darkness there in nights repose

with mornings birth as yet to come.

        A bit of a poem:
In a rage, I was gonna throw the book at him
But in these modern days, I threw a Kindle at him instead!

I love books - and there is a superb collection of 18th and 19th century books in the private library which lies behind the Photographer taking the above photo.

No but when I was caught scrumping I had the book thrown at me. Now that's funny - the computer doesn't like scrumping - could it be an English word and not American? I'll have to look it up - er in a book of course!

Right from my heart Michael! Whenever I see a second-hand store I just have to go in, and usually leave with at least one or two books! Great poem!

                  WoW, Mr. E
Even the smallest thing like falling asleep reading a book, you turn into a masterpiece. You are a true artist. Mugsdaddy
