THE BOOK
The eyes that traced across each page
both line by line and word by word
transmitted not to wandering mind.
The book upon the bed now lies
In darkness there in nights repose
with mornings birth as yet to come.

Super write, books are so special.
I tend to read a lot on Kindle but real books - well you can't beat them.
A fine write M. That Hall looks like a palace. You've gone up in the world!
Actually the apartment in which we stayed was on the ground floor - come to think of it, it still is ...!!
A bit of a poem:
In a rage, I was gonna throw the book at him
But in these modern days, I threw a Kindle at him instead!
heehee.
Oooh - there's fire in your kindle..! You are a devil - no holding you back - Hercules unchained..!
I'm a drama queen! lol.
Thanks MIKE ~ "Of the writing and reading of BOOKS there is no ending ............. But every book (in it's own way) is precious ~ please recycle through Charity Shops ! Yours BRIAN. Please check my FUSION on Film ~ Thanks B.
I love books - and there is a superb collection of 18th and 19th century books in the private library which lies behind the Photographer taking the above photo.
Good poem that hits home with me as I too am an avid reader
Thanks Bill - yes love a good book.
Gee, it looks just like my foyer!
Two more good writes here, Michael. You have certainly mastered this form.
Thanks Louis - bit like my broom cupboard which is a bit of a waste of space really!
You ever chucked the book, erm or Kindle, at anyone M?!
No but when I was caught scrumping I had the book thrown at me. Now that's funny - the computer doesn't like scrumping - could it be an English word and not American? I'll have to look it up - er in a book of course!
Book, the best company you could have.
Sure is - beyond words....!
Right from my heart Michael! Whenever I see a second-hand store I just have to go in, and usually leave with at least one or two books! Great poem!
WoW, Mr. E
Even the smallest thing like falling asleep reading a book, you turn into a masterpiece. You are a true artist. Mugsdaddy
