New Year ~ Christmas ~ Hot mince pies

These are the Joys of Winter !
In the meadows Spring flowers grow
Cherry Blossom ~ white as snow
Bees do buzz and Birds do sing
These are the Joys of Spring !
In the meadows ~ Moo Cows graze
Lazy hazy Summer days
Riding in open~topped Hummer
These are the Joys of Summer
Trees kalaidoscopic colour
Harvest fields with corn are fuller
Frying fish just where we've caught 'em
These are the Joys of Autumn !

We are fortunate in the UK all Regions have four distinctive seasons ~ sometimes all in the same day ! This is a Blessing because it enables us to plan well ahead ! O & North) utdoors in the Spring ~ Summer ~ Autumn (especially in the drier S E of England ~ You need an alternative wet weather venue in the West and North) and indoor venues in the Winter. Angela & I take full advantage of the Seasons and love to get out and about in the Countryside and at the East Coast at the weekends ! Comments welcome ~ love Brian & Angela XOX

I do miss the seasons sometimes, and your well written poem reminded me of that. But it is also nice being able to go outside in T-shirt and shorts all year long! 🙂
YES INDEED FRED I have spent Winter months in Florida ~ Mexico ~ OZ and New Zealand but the weather I experienced did not feel right. The weather in S E England (where I now live) is not too extreme but different enough (and using the flora & fauna as a guide) for each Season to be DISTINCT ! Thanks BRIAN

Good write on all the seasons. I have to disagree with the wine selection just in the winter, I drink wine in all the seasons.
