It’s a Good Day to Smile
Today I woke up
Thankful to be alive
Got my wits in my pocket
And it’s only quarter to five
Let the day unfold
Bring what it may
Whatever happens
It was meant for today
I’ll make the best of it
No matter the outcome
No sense cryin’ over spilt milk
What’s done is done
Down the road of life I go
A precious gift every mile
God gave me this life
So it’s a good day to smile

I like it AP, today we both posted smiling uplifting poems! I guess great minds think alike!
I do like the lines: Down the road of life I go, a precious gift every mile. That is so beautiful.
Thanks Fred, smiling is a contagious act. See how many smiles you see today. And it's ok if you provoke them along the way. ; )
A smile breaks down the most stoney of receptions - grumpy receptionists, shop assistants etc - the greatest weapon in the armoury - great AP

A fine write AP. We may fuss about yesterday, or tomorrow, or both. But one has gone, and one is not here yet. There's today to sort out for now!
