My Purpose

Christina8

An empty meaning to my life

my purpose so hard to see

Now that I'm not saving lives

The road isn't laid out in front of me

I find happiness in the mundane

and I know that I'm cared for

but another calling seeks me out

and has me all but running to the door

But first, to tackle my depression

and to make sure it does not return

Going to work when overloaded

is a lesson I have before learned

I know there's purpose domestically

Maybe some of it has to do with pride

I want my kids to again have it all

Wanna be back on top and able to provide

Good aims dear Christina and put into a charmingly honest verse - you will get there on top and stay there with goals so warm and from the heart. Hugs from Fay xxxxx.

I like your straight forward poem. There are always times in our lives when we question our purpose in life, when we think that there should be more, or maybe something different.

Thanks for your reply CHRIS ~ The World of Work is an escape from "The Trivial round the Common Task ! We do have some House Husbands in the UK ~ who stay home and look after the Kids & the House & the Dog etc. but they are much less than 1 in a 100 ! Generally the WIFE has a high powered Job and earns much more than the Husband !
