The night now twinkles with lights on the tree
Hugging us with the Christmas spirit and glee
As an adult the magic is still there for me
Hypnotized by all the colors I see
Christmas bulbs and cardinals are such a sight
For me getting to see this once a year, what a delight
We are reminded of our saviors birth that first night
We remember his birthday in December and his plight
We must remember among this beauty, there is a reason
To this bountiful, beautiful, giving season

Beautifully written, Christina, AND a great reminder what this season is all about. The 'reason' in danger of getting lost in the commercialism of what today is Christmas!
Thanks Fred, your words mean a lot! I appreciate the compliment. Thanks again!
Long may the magic continue - well scribed Christina.
Thanks so much Michael. Very much appreciated!
Thanks CHRIS ~ I am pleased you allowed you MUSE to operate ! I love the TESTIMONY in your gracious poem and it has been noted by others ! "JESUS is the Reason for the Season" AMEN Thanks for caring & sharing ~ Hugs in the Spirit ~ BRIAN @@@@@@@
Thank you Brian! Tomorrow I can officially be in full Christmas mode! lol I hope the muse returns. Thanks for your very complimentary reply. Hugs in the spirit--Christina
I believe our savior would smile appreciatively upon your beautiful poem here Christina.
Thank you AP, that is quite the compliment! I just wanted to keep focused on the reason for season as we head into december!
For me, December is the only time for the Christmas season. That's how it was while growing up. You didn't see Christmas decorations in stores and carols on the radio until December. I get Christmas burnout if I celebrate too soon.
Good write Christine and a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas.
Thanks so much GF! I really appreciate the compliment and kind comment on my poem!
