It's not as easy to talk about the
love for some reason, as it is the hurt
It's not as easy to remember all the
kind and beautiful things said, than the curt
It does get easier as time passes by
But some days are just so hard to get through
For me, I choose to forgive and forget
all the bad things because I need to
It's taken me many years to get this far
And many tears, I've crossed a deluge of them
But I'm not immune to new pains
Or sadness from which this poem stems
As always, I will be fine, I will be okay
I must press on in the usual way
Maybe this snow left me with the blues
But it won't keep me down one more day

A conscious decision that is only made by a strong person with a strong heart. Loved the write. Thank you for sharing.

Good write Christina, you have found your way through the downs in your life and that is a very positive way to be and each day with this attitude you will become stronger and those 'down days' will become far fewer.
