Under Starry Skies
Oh starry skies
Silent wonder before my eyes
Please for this Christmas
Grant me this Christmas wish
That all people of this Earth
Can find inner love and its worth
To openly care for each other
All the world’s sisters and brothers
If warring countries could just desist
Shake hands and simply co-exist
Voices unite and sing out loud
Quiet harmony to make Heaven proud
Let the foolishness of man
Prove to him the need for a better plan
This planet we don’t own
Just the custodians we must be shown
Oh starry skies
That shine upon our eyes
What this world needs more of
Your influence of compassion and love
A Christmas gift to Earth from all of us
To live in peace so courageous
With voices that harmonize
Under starry skies

I fail to see why world leaders and people of some countries can't understand that opposing each other only escalates and worsens the world's problems ultimately causing people to die. I mean the common sense in all of this should be universally understood by everyone.
