Orchi Progress Report

orchidee

Now look, listen in!

I got summat of major importance to tell ya.

Will ya be cruel?

Will ya say 'hooray?'

Or 'about time too?!'

Whatever's up, Orchi?

Well, I had a sneezing fit

Lost me voice almost - spoken and....

More importantly(?)... singing voice!

Ohh it's a lament today

A very dark write!

You won't hear me melodious tones

Don't mean to say I've stopped writing though

The hymn-poems!

Boo hoo, I know it's difficult to tell

If it's me singing

Or two cats fighting

But it can't be helped!

Only the cats are 'singing' at the moment!

They may not have to put up with me

Caterwauling Carols

Though Carol only appears in December

Who is she? What is her surname?

Do ya know her?!

I know you lot - you will hide me Lem-Sips

Or other 'potions' I may try

Please pour me a large whisky without water

(I'm delirious now with a fever, to say that!)

Ohh, poor old me

Very old me!

Shall I go back to bed?

Did I get out of bed the right side?

Sing a song or two for me meanwhile

Will ya?!

Heehee a hymn says:

'The voice of prayer is never silent'

Hope  I won't be silent too long!

I dunno what all the fuss is

It's a fine Christmas gift from me

To all of ya! lol.

No singing from me, I mean!

Think carefully -

Will ya wish me well?

I shall only sing again! lol.

May your cold destroy your current singing voice and bring it back with flowing, mellifluous, melodious sounds of perfect harmonisation with control of pitch and volume.

Thanks Gold. Gosh, will all that happen? Mellifluous, harmonisation, etc?!

We can but hope and pray.

Nostalgic memories of the day I lost Mine:

I recall the day I lost my voice
and I found it down the you-know-where
sad to say I had no choice
but to put my hand down there.

Well I fished it out and gave it a rinse
and returned it to where it came from
but it’s never ever been the same since:
it’s now deep, and it’s dark, and it’s strong!

You might want to try gargling a glass of sherry every hour or so. It probably won't help your ailment, but you won't really care. Speedy recovery, my friend!

              Heehee thanks Louis.

Here is what you do, orchi: Close your eyes, take a deep breath, then a huge sip. Repeat until you can sing again, or pass out. Whatever comes first!

Ahh very useful advice, thanks Fred! lol.
