In life, each has things to do,
Things that are important,
Or seem so.
Now your life has changed,
Each day you will be together.
The time you needed for others
Is now needed elsewhere.
When together in love
There is only one thing
For which time is always needed,
And that time is priceless,
For when love is there,
All that is needed,
Is time for each other.

- Comment from author about the poem: Mike and Hilary are very good friends of ours and Mike has recently retired. We were talking about what life will be like and Hilary was concerned about how it would affect the way their lives would change.

A lovely write Gold. But why must I always come along and ruin that wine by adding water to it?! heehee. That Orchi will keep ya all temperate this season. He's working overtime with his water syphon!
It's OK I have hidden the booze from you.
Ohh croak, croak! Gimmee whisky, gimmee sherry, all without water! I'm delirious now, took a turn for the worse, saying that. (You know it won't do you any good Orchi heehee!). I probably add water to the Communion wine too. Is there no end of this obsession Orchi?
Time for each other - even in retirement it's something we sometimes forget from time to time. Great advice.
Thanks Michael.
Have a great Christmas.
A very beautiful write for your friends Andy. Its true, when retiring, time is less stressful and in more supply. Time for each other is a must. Great write my friend.
Thank you AP, they did appreciate the words.
Thanks ANDY ~ Retirement sounds great ~ but it must be an emotional change for both Husband & Wife ~ love the sentiments in your Poems. I retire (if I survive !) in 2051 when I'm 68 which is twice the age I am now ~ so I will have to work for as long as I have lived ~ Shock / Horror !!! I am preparing financially ~ BUT ~ I don't know how to prepare emotionally. I will enrol on a pre-retirement course in JANUARY 2018 ~ To be forewarned is to be forearmed ~ We're getting more destitute Pensioners @ the Foodbank ~ The Future is (one) ORANGE or should that be TANGERINE ~ I've hung my stocking up in anticipation ~ Blessings @ Christmas ~ BRIAN
Retirement is great, it is so busy though.
Happy Christmas Brian.
Retirement can alter a marriage profoundly. Let's hope they can make the adjustment smoothly, Goldie.
I am sure they will, they are totally suited for each other.
