Salvation Sufficiency

orchidee

Tune: Repton

('Dear Lord and Father of mankind')

1 Peter 1 v.18-21

The last line of each verse is repeated.

********

We redeemed by the precious blood

Of Christ, a cleansing flood

As of a lamb without blemish

He meets true freedom's every wish

His presence we relish (x2)

No blemish, no spot, perfectly

A whole offering He be

Sacrifice sufficient for me

And for all who look and see

Receive salvation free (x2)

For truly He was foreordained

Prophets of old explained

Before foundations of world laid

He the one who our sins allayed

God's plan, He our price paid (x2)

He shown here, the last days it be

He shown for you and me

By Him we do in God believe

And His eternal life receive

True life with no deceive (x2)

For God did raise Christ from the dead

He now our living Head

God gave Him glory, and too we

That our faith, hope, in God it be

Reaching e'en you and me (x2)
